Life is short, but it becomes shorter for a kid who is unable to swim to save his/her life. By doing the 24hour swim challenge, I want to do my bit in raising awareness around Childhood drowning prevention. As a mom of an amazing 2 year old, I always wonder and worry about the "What ifs". What if my daughter falls in our pool, while I just looked away for 2 minutes ? What if on a hike near a lake/ocean a child's curiosity leads him/her to wander off and fall in the lake/ocean"? It takes just a second for accidents to happen and we can play/replay it in our heads but at that moment we can't do much. We can'tchange the course of the accidents and what the future has in store, but we can equip parents and caretakers with awareness, tools and funds to train their kids and prevent the "what ifs". Please join me so that we can tackle the "what ifs" and prevent children from drowning.
