BENEFITING: PHILLY ROLLER GIRLS
Philly Roller Derby created a Junior Roller Derby program in 2014 to provide GIRLS and BOYS, ages 6-18, the opportunity to learn the sport of Roller Derby. Our goal is to provide a FUN, SAFE, and INCLUSIVE environment for young athletes, where they can play this highly exciting sport of speed, strategy, and TEAMWORK. Junior Roller Derby empowers skaters by building self-confidence, teaching leadership skills and developing athletic abilities while improving overall fitness.
Philly Roller Derby would like to expand access to ALL kids by supplying skates and safety gear to those in financial need. Juniors are the future of this amazing sport, and with your help roller derby really can be "available for everyone" (as quoted by one of our new Junior skaters, Amazon!).
Our Juniors are tough, but SAFETY is key. Your donation will also help Philly Roller Derby improve their new home in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. This includes the installation of padding on the walls to protect all of our skaters, ensuring there is heat in the practice space next winter and the expansion of our first aid supplies.
As a completely volunteer-run organization that prioritizes the health and safety of our junior skaters, we would like to expand the courses and seminars we can offer our kids and coaches on first aid, basic injury management, concussion awareness and nutrition.
PLEASE DONATE TODAY!
Any size donation will make a big impact! And don't forget, Philly Roller Derby is a 501c3 non-profit organization, so 100% of your donation is tax deductible!
