Rolls Royce's vet bill

I am trying to get help paying for my puppies unexpected vet bill that recently occured. On Jan 27 I came home to find out that my dogs had gotten out of the back yard three times that day and sometime on the last escape, Rolls Royce (my 11 month old lab and pit bull mix pup) had gotten hurt and was bleeding from under his chin and leg area. Immediately I thought that he might have gotten into a fight with another dog and he couldn't put any pressure on his right hind leg. So what does any animal lover do for their pets/children? I took him to the only vet that would accept my friends dad's care credit card when her dad lives out of state. Luckily we found a vet but the price estimated was outrageous but I didn't care cause all I knew was my baby was hurt and I didn't know how bad so my friend agreed to use the card. So the Dr tells us that it'll take a couple hours cause he wanted to do xrays and make sure all the bones were ok. Of course I agreed and I had some errands to go and do and I could pick Rolls up after I got done with them. I was gone no more than 30 mins and I get a call from the Dr. He proceeds to tell me that Rolls had not been in a fight but that he had been shot twice. Once thru the neck and then in the leg and the bullet was still lodged in his leg. The one through his neck missed his windpipe by millimetres the Dr. Said. He had a full recovery and is doing fine now but the downside is now I have a $1500 bill that I have no way to pay until I get my birth certificate from California so I can get my identification card so therefore I can get a job. I hate asking for help but my backs up against a wall right now and I have to pay the bill before intrest starts skyrocketing the bill til I can't pay it and that isn't right to do to my friend. Any help is greatly appreciated and prsyers for us we always welcomed and appreciated. Thanks for reading and I'll update as soon as I find out who shot him.
