Hello, my name is Emily Hayes and I am one of the leaders for The Ronald's Rescue organization at Padua Academy, a catholic high school for girls. Ronald's Rescue helps raise money for the local Ronald McDonald House in Wilmington, Delaware. The House is a place where families with children who are staying at area hospitals can have a place to call home. Money can become an issue for many families during these rough times. Our goal is to raise money for The Ronald McDonald House so the they are able to house these families. For the past three years I have had hands on expereince with The House which has opened my eyes to the many struggles these families are faced with. It is important for these families to know they have a safe and supportive environment to stay in. We have two major fundraisers at Padua Academy in effort to help support those families with financial burdens. The Wiffle Ball Tournament is one of our major fundraisers which allow members of the Padua community to come together to not only raise awareness about the Ronald McDonald House and the needs of families, but to participate in the activities as students of the school. The tournament will be held on Sunday, April 26th at Rockford Park at 12:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome! Our goal is to raise $10,000 in total, so please help us reach this goal by donating today. All proceeds will go directly to the families and children in need.
