BENEFITING: Prostate Cancer Foundation
EVENT DATE: Nov 01, 2013
Friends, family, colleagues and strangers - first and foremost thank you for making it this far. I send you my warmest regards from the southernmost reaches of California.
Most of you know that for over a year and a half I've been growing a beard. For those who are completely unaware, keep reading. It is a beard that I've grown rather fond of, a beard that I enjoy and one that keeps me warm. In turn, I like to think that at least half of you have also grown fond of it, that our relationships have thrived as each hair sprouts across my face.
I'm taking the plunge into No Shave November Madness tonight, November 1st by shaving it all off. I know what you're thinking - the bitter Southern California fall will ruin a face you once knew, perhaps even loved, morphing me into an unrecognizable tanned monstrosity. This is a risk I'm willing to take, a risk for a good cause.
Throughout the month, I will attempt a moustache that will make you all proud, a moustache that will make you think of the finer things in life, a moustache with dignity and poise and grace. This is my goal, and a pledge I must make.
I'll be donating ALL of the proceeds received to the Prostate Cancer Foundation (http://www.pcf.org/). In addition to matching 10% of the funds raised (save your agency jokes), I'll also be supplying my own razor blades, creams, lotions, potions, and spells. Please click the link below to my Crowdrise profile for more information about donating – its quicker than cutting yourself shaving.
With a steady hand, guided by your support,
