The Academy of Environmental and Social Policy at Roosevelt High School is a small public school that encourages students to be active participants in and around the Boyle Heights and Lincoln communities.
Students participate in service-learning projects, outdoor educational programs, internships at local agencies, and are involved with civic groups and community based organizations. As part of their curriculum, students are encouraged to become ecologically aware of the local region's social and natural systems and history. The goal is to develop problem-solvers who think golabally and act locally to increase social justice and sustainability.
You can support the academy by attending Karma Classes at Modo Yoga LA during the months of November and December. Karma classes are donation-based classes and are held at 8:15pm every Friday. For more information on these classes, visit www.modoyogala.com
