Teams of up to ten individuals pledge to walk, run and/or ride bicycles a combined total of 565 miles in the month of February. They will raise funds for GallantFew and increase awareness for stated veteran issues.
Veterans continue to battle record high levels of unemployment, under-employment, homelessness and suicide. In December of 2014 the unemployment rate for veterans of wars after 2001 was 6.9%, a full 30 percent higher than that of non-veterans. While in December of 2015 this rate has fallen to 5.7% it is still 21 percent higher than that of non-veterans.
The GallantFew is a support network for veterans transitioning into civilian life.
