Hello friends and loved ones, you might have guessed that I'm passionate about ending violence, particularly intimate partner violence. Domestic violence effects 1 in 4 women and girls in their lifetime, and 15% of men and boys. Love shouldn't hurt, control, or kill you. I am so proud to be a part of our amazing hospital advocacy program, which connected over 1,290 survivors last year to immediate support, safety planning, and resources, often immediately following an assault.
This year I'm involved in The Allstate Foundation Purple Purse Challenge, in support of Rose Brooks Center. Please help by giving what you can. I'm helping because this fundraiser will help more survivors live free of abuse. For many women, the reason they can't "just leave" is because they are being abused and controlled financially. Can you imagine trying to start a new life and keep your children safe, while being stalked, harassed, and targeted at work? At Rose Brooks Center, we have an Employment Advocate and economic empowerment groups for this very reason, serving hundreds every year - allowing survivors to walk free.
Let me know if you have any questions at all--and join me in supporting this amazing organization. <3>

What if we told you, you could save a life? What if we told you, you could save a PETS life? Rose Brooks Center is about saving lives - and by supporting our mission of ending the cycle of domestic abuse - you are saving many lives. The lives of individuals, families and pets, so that they can live free of abuse.
Because of your support, we are able to answer nearly 8,000 hotline calls each year. Because of you, our school-based prevention specialist provided support for 2,396 students in Jackson County last school year. And because of you, 54 pets found safety in our pet shelter.
When you support Rose Brooks Center, YOU are saving lives.
