THE STORY:
ROSIES FOUNDATION wrote -
ROSIES creates employment opportunities that empower people with diverse abilities through professional development and social enterprise. We have hired a crew of employees, trained by a specialized staff. Our goal is to eliminate the derogatory symbol of the “short bus” with our very own food truck, an ADA accessible school bus we have already purchased. With the successful launch of this venture ROSIES will be able to develop multiple future ventures with a variety of industry partners to create further employment opportunities.
80% of people living with a disability in the US are unemployed. Here at ROSIES, we create jobs that cater to the diverse abilities of our employees and understand the complexities of navigating a more independent life for these individuals and their families. We believe that everyone needs a first job with a reasonable learning curve. Sustainable employment can start with ROSIES and grow to include your network.
ROSIES 4Purpose Ventures are designed to collaborate with strong industry partners with locally sourced products. These products will be sold by our employees through a unique ROSIES retail experience. With our food truck venture, we already have exciting opportunities to partner with a popular local dessert brand. We will deliver them to out of market neighborhoods, building their brand while creating new jobs for our employees.
