THE STORY:

Jim Fuqua wrote -

The Detroit Rotary Club is beautifying Detroit's Belle Isle, creating a native plant demonstration garden adjacent to the island's historic 1893 Police Station. We need your help - now!

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to purchase native plants for the garden. Mother Nature won't wait - if we don't plant this fall, we'll have to wait an entire year.

$25 purchases compost, soil, peat moss, fertilizer and mulch.

$50 purchases three native perennial plants.

$350 purchases a substantial maple, river birch or redbud tree.

Master gardeners will care for this wonderful garden into the future - but we need your help, so please - pledge your support today!
