Row for the Cure - UNC Women's Rowing
Organized by: UNC Women's Rowing Team
UNC Women's Rowing has been participating in Susan G. Komen Row for the Cure events at the Head of the Hooch Regatta for the past few years to raise awareness of and support the fight against breast cancer. The Head of the Hooch is part of a series of regattas that is dedicated to raising money to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. These Row for the Cure events raise money to support women with breast cancer in many ways: community education, free screenings, follow-up treatments, family support, and funding for new research. Our team will be attending the Head of the Hooch in Chattanooga, TN on November 7-8, 2015. We will be collecting donations up until we race to take with us and present to the Susan G. Komen Foundation on race day. On October 21, 2015, UNC Athletics and UNC Rowing will have a "Turn it Pink" day and Erg-a-thon on campus to further support this cause. Over the course of the past three years, UNC Women’s Rowing has raised a total of nearly $17,000 for this Row for the Cure race! We hope you consider donating to a cause that has been so important to our team over the past few years. Thank you in advance for your generosity! ROW HEELS!
