We are in the final push for this weekend's Ruck to Remember. Our Ruck to Remember Team has met our fundraising goal but want to continue to go above and beyond. As many of you know, I am a team member of Operation Enduring Warrior, the fundraising charity for this event. The support we will receive from this event will greatly assist Operation Enduring Warrior in our mission to Honor, Empower and Motivate America's wounded service members. Please consider donating to this VERY worthy cause!
For a refresher of what this event entails, I'll be spend my Memorial Day weekend (starting Saturday morning and ending Monday morning) with approximately 125 other Patriots to ruck 60 miles from Harpers Ferry, WV to Section 60 in Arlington National Cemetery on a mission of remembrance for those brave souls our nation has lost over the years. Please help me to remember our nation's Fallen Heroes, as well as honor, empower and motivate our nation's Wounded service members. Thank you.
Here is a little more about the event from the Ruck to Remember 60 to 60 official website (http://www.rucktoremember.org/60-to-60/):
A Mission of Remembrance – Patriots from all over the country descend into our Nation’s Capital at the start of Memorial Day Weekend - Trekking 60 miles from Harpers Ferry, West Virginia over rugged terrain and down into Washington DC in the early hours of Memorial Day morning – for a sunrise "FINAL MISSION" over Memorial Bridge into Arlington National Cemetery (section 60).
The 60 to 60 is not just an event – it’s a Mission to raise awareness and highlight the strength, commitment of our war-fighters and unite the Country with our mission to HONOR - EMPOWER & NEVER FORGET the sacrifices made in the defense of our Freedoms while always remembering those that paid the ultimate sacrifice and to raise awareness to those that continue to endure the sacrifices of battle.
In the 4th Annual Ruck to Remember - 60 to 60 is excited to partner with Veteran Empowering Charity - OPERATION ENDURING WARRIOR (OEW).
Operation Enduring Warrior is a veteran operated non-profit whose mission is to Honor, Empower and Motivate our Wounded service members through a physical, mental and emotional rehabilitative cycle modeled for overcoming adversity and hardship through innovation, teamwork and perseverance.
You don't have to be a "Team Athlete" to be part of the 60 to 60 Team. Helping us raise awareness and money - with 100% going to the Cause - our team and our mission extends far beyond Memorial Day weekend. Help us help and HONOR Them!
