BENEFITING: Paws in the City
Ruger's injuries are serious and have left him unable to walk. The prognosis on Ruger is that he he has two femoral fractures that are months old. The complexity of the fractures make amputation the most viable option which sounded a lot scary to our team but with a wheelchair, Ruger can have a happy life. According to the vet, the injuries Ruger has probably resulted from falling out of or being thrown from a vehicle. He ended up in a high kill shelter as a stray, dragging his back legs.
Three Paws in the City volunteers had the pleasure of meeting Ruger today. This dingo lab mix is under 1 1/2 years old and sweet and loving as they come. Despite being in pain, he gave kisses and enjoyed having his giant ears rubbed.
Paws in the City needs your help to get Ruger back on his feet. He will need surgery and a wheel chair. Paws in the City is an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit organization. There is no paid staff and 100% of all funds raised goes directly to the animals we rescue. If we exceed our goal for Ruger, the additional funds raised will go towards the medical needs of our rescued dogs and cats.
