BENEFITING: A LITTLE 4 A LOT
I have been training for months- running, biking, swimming, and sweating. I'm giving my all to compete June 11th in SF "Escape from Alcatraz" triathlon, in hopes to raise awareness and money to help women in Kenya that suffer from a debilitating condition called obstetric fistula.
Elsina and I are passionate about this cause and want to help be the voice of these marginalized women. It's the least we can do to make our small difference in the world. Please support my triathlon and my mission to help give others a chance at a better life. For the cost of a daily latte, you can change someone's life. I'm encouraging you to help me do just that.
The money raised supports an organization named Beyond Fistula (founded by our friends Debbie and Amir Matityahu). Beyond Fistula (www.beyondfistula.org) provides vocational and business skills training for these ostracized women and allows them to gain financial and emotional stability and independence.
My hope is to support these women, obstetric fistula survivors. Together we can empower them to help themselves and to secure a better life for their children.
