THE STORY:

Rob Gubas wrote -

It's just a few short weeks since we were all shocked and saddened to learn about the loss of our friend and colleague Kasz Maciag, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Like many of you, I still can't believe it. I'm going to be running in the upcoming New York City Marathon on November 6th and thought it would be a real honor to run the streets of Kasz's original hometown in her memory, while doing something positive and good, by raising some money in support of a cure. Kasz was always a no-nonsense, solutions-oriented kind of gal, and as such I decided that The Lustgarten Foundation For Pancreatic Cancer Research would be an appropriate choice of charity. They put 100% of donations into research, and have been 4-star rated on Charity Navigator (see link: https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.history&orgid=7998) for the past 8 years running. Well run, and focused on fixing the problem - just the kind of organization Kasz would approve of. Having worked with Kasz for many years at Getty Images, I remember her as someone who always had time for others and someone who was willing and able to stop what she was doing to help figure something out. So it is a privilege to be able to do this, and I'd really appreciate your support. Thanks and love to all, Rob
