I ran the Boston marathon this April 18, 2016! This was my 8th marathon and a dream come true! My dad who is a native Bostonian and an avid runner, still running in his 70's has been an inspiration in my running and he has always emphasized the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. I wanted to make this marathon special and run for a charity that connected my passion for health and fitness to helping those who are less fortunate. That is why I am participating in the Run for Research program and raising money also for my teammate Mike Kim a Liver Survivor! Check out my official page below to see how close I am to my goal: http://go.liverfoundation.org/site/TR/RunforResearch/NewEngland?px=2019499&pg=personal&fr_id=5220 Run for Research is an endurance program that helps people like me train for a race while supporting the mission of the American Liver Foundation. A world free of liver disease! Every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a difference in the lives of more than 30 million Americans living with liver disease. Did you know: * Liver disease is one of the top 10 causes of death in the U.S. * Thousands of individuals wait every year for a life-saving liver transplant. * There are 5.4 million people in the United States living with chronic Hepatitis B or C. * 25% of Americans are being diagnosed with fatty liver disease, and 10% are children. By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the Foundation provide community-based education, research, support, and advocacy related to help prevent and treat liver disease. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND IT'S AS SIMPLE AS HELPING ME REACH MY FUNDRAISING GOAL. Donating is easy! Just click the "Donate" button to get started.
