RUN FOR TSU
Organized by: Devonte Bradley
A group of ambitious students at Tennessee State University are preparing for the second annual RUN FOR TSU scholarship marathon and would love for your company to be a part of this amazing event. RUN FOR TSU is a movement started in 2015 birthed from the passion of keeping males from single parent homes in college who couldn't afford it. The marathon was able to help clear the balance of three male students needing help to stay in school and provided a scholarship for one incoming freshman for fall 2016. This year we are aiming towards a goal of raising $10,000.00 to help keep more males in school instead of having to drop out because of difficulty affording college. This year the marathon will begin in Memphis, Tennessee starting at a local High School where the administration will choose one deserving High School Student of their choice to receive a scholarship of $1,000.00 for college. The marathon will end four days (217 miles) later at Tennessee State University. Your contribution would allow us to reach our goal of $10,000 worth of scholarship funds for male students that meet the criteria. This year because we want to expand and provide more scholarships for we are looking for people who will donate $217.00 which is a dollar for each mile ran. Donations above $217.00 will be displayed on the RUN FOR TSU banner which will be seen throughout all aspects of the run and news coverage.
