Family is very important to me as many of you know. This past March my great nephew, Zeke, was diagnosed with HLH. HLH is an immune disorder. I am feeling helpless as I live so far away from Zeke and his family that I can't be there to help on a daily basis. I decided to join the #run4Zeke campaign that his Aunts have started. I will be running 30 miles in 30 days starting on June 15th. If you can donate toward my cause I would greatly appreciate it. Zeke is a two year old boy, who is fighting a rare and life threatening immune disease called HLH. (http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/service/h/hlh/about/). He has already been in treatment for almost 3 month, including chemotherapy and steroids. This summer he will be undergoing a bone marrow transplant. In addition to medical expenses Zeke's family will have to replace the flooring in their home. Zeke's immune system will take many months to a year to recover after his transplant and they have been told by his doctors that they must replace the flooring as he will be highly susceptible to infections. Elona and Zeke will also possibly need an apartment in Cincinnati where he will be receiving his transplant. There will be many other expenses in addition to medical bills.
