BENEFITING: The Feed Foundation
ORGANIZER: Women's Health
EVENT DATE: Oct 13, 2012
I am so pumped to have been selected as a Women's Health Action Hero for this run in Austin, TX on October 13, 2012. I'm seriously so incredibly proud to be chosen, I almost want to chest-bump everyone I walk by. The event is for a terrific cause and I need your help - you can help in one of three ways, or if you're an overachiever and want to help with all three, let's do this! 1. Sign up for the race (it's in Austin in October so it shouldn't be too hot). Go to the Run 10 Feed 10 website and scroll to the bottom where you see the Austin date and click Register Now. The cost of the race is $40 and includes your fun run entry (not that I really think a 10k is fun, but...), the all-the-rage-limited-edition FEED bag you see philanthropist celebs sporting, and MOST IMPORTANTLY that money will instantly donate 10 meals to those going hungry in your local and surrounding neighborhoods. That's a helluva deal and will make you feel all warm and fuzzy the second you do it. Many of you may already be in town for ACL, so just signup, mark your calendar and set your alarm just a tiny bit earlier and we can run side-by-side. *If you do sign up, please email me back any names that registered so I can add to my team. You'll also get big-slightly-inappropriate hugs resembling TSA from me if you do it. 2. Help get your friends, family, coworkers (or even people you don't like) to join the race with me/us. Same link above, same great fuzzy feeling. #Promise (Once you signup, you'll be encouraged to start your own Crowdrise fundraising page - this is totally encouraged but most definitely optional.) 3. Donate a few bucks on my page. Seriously, skip that $5 footlong at Subway tomorrow and just donate to this great cause.
Thank you so much for your time and continued support through my make-it-big in sports or charitable ways - it's so appreciated. I know not everyone has money to spare right now, so help pushing out this message via your own emails or FB posts are also super helpful!
We need to raise a quarter of a million dollars to provide 1,000,000 meals to help fight hunger in America. And, we need your help to make it happen!
All of the money raised will benefit the FEED Foundation.
NOTE: if you sign up to join me for the race, PLEASE email me so I can keep track of my runners: jaymelamm [at] yahoo [dot] com
