BENEFITING: The Feed Foundation
EVENT DATE: Sep 23, 2012
As some of you may know I am currently signed up for the Women's Health Run 10 and Feed 10 race this year on September 23rd, 2012 taking place at Pier 84 at Hudson River Park; my 1st 10k (6.2 miles) race EVER! As part of my participation in this race, I am raising funds for FEED Foundation in support to ending domestic hunger - one child at a time.
I also am turning 33 this year on Thursday September 20th and thought this would be the best way to celebrate my birthday; by taking action to make a change in the lives of other people. I am very dedicated to funding efforts and doing my part to help out those in need.
In lieu of presents, a donation would be an amazing birthday gift. Your donation will go towards providing healthy nutritious meals to millions of children. Right now, 16 million American children, are at risk of going hungry—they don't know where their next meal is coming from. The reality is that there IS enough food in the world today for everyone to get the nourishment they need for a healthy and productive life. Hunger is a solvable problem. Together, we can do something about it and make a huge impact in a very simple way. As little as $10 (just 10 bucks! That's a Starbucks drink and a pastry) can make all the difference.

If you're not able to donate that is completely ok too. I understand that not everyone has disposable income all the time. In the event that you cannot donate but still want to help, there are a bunch of things you can do:
#1 Social Network. Share my fundraising page link on your Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google +, etc. Remember the link is http://www.crowdrise.com/run10feed10ny/fundraiser/sammee
#2 Word of Mouth. Telling any and everyone you know about my campaign and seeing if they are interested in donating.
#3 Email. Just forward this email along.
I appreciate you taking the time to read all of this and hope you will consider supporting this cause to end domestic hunger.
