As many of you know, in May of 2013 I had quadruple bypass surgery at Huntington Memorial Hospital and have been exercising in the their Cardiac Rehabilitation Center ever since. While the treadmill is great, I missed the days when I was running half marathons so earlier this year my daughter challenged me to hit the pavement once again. With the approval of my doctors, I began training in March for my first half marathon since February of 2012. On November 16th I will run my tenth - the Disney Avengers in Anaheim. Because of the great care and wonderful facilities that Huntington has provided, I have committed to the goal of raising $2,000 for the Rehab Center as part of this race. I also want to prove that even at age 65, with a rebuilt ticker, heart disease does not have to keep you down. Please help my reach this goal. Donate now. Thanks.
