BENEFITING: AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF ZOO KEEPERS
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2011
In a continuing effort to help protect the five remaining rhino species, I will be “Running for Rhinos” this year for the New York Marathon. This year I am taking a new twist on “Striking” out Rhino extinction and will be running instead of bowling.
As you know, I am passionate about wildlife conservation and this unique conservation cause. Since 1990, American Association of Zoological Keepers (AAZK) has raised over $2.4 million dollars to support rhino conservation. Your donation goes directly to support three wildlife refuges: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya, Ujung Kulon National Park in Java, Indonesia, and Bukint Barisan Selatan National Park in Sumatra, Indonesia. These wildlife refuges not only protect black rhinos, white rhinos, Javan rhinos, and Sumatran rhinos, but also everything from orchids and elephants to the lush land they inhabit. It is due to your generous contributions that many of these animals may survive and be seen in the wild for future generations
Your donation will be tax deductible, as AAZK is a non-profit organization. Remember to check with your employer to see if they have a matching gift program, as it’s an easy way to double your donation!
Thank you again for supporting my charity run.
