Key Facts About Ebola
How Does the Run Work?
The run includes athletes from all around the world, running independently for a month, from October 1st to October 31st.
Each athlete tracks their runs using any of the recognized smartphone Apps available and share screenshots of these runs with the #RunAgainstEbola on Facebook and Twitter. Share our fundraising page - and your run data - with family and friends and encourage them to donate to our race against the Ebola virus!
Two ways to donate:
1) A flat donation of any amount, at any point during the campaign
2) Pledge to support a runner by donating per mile, and give your donation at the end of the event. Share your commitment to pledge with others using #RunAgainstEbola
The fundraising teams assesses each of the reports and chooses the winner based on the maximum distance completed over the month.
The winner receives a brand new Garmin Forerunner 210 GPS-Enabled Sport Watch with Heart Rate Monitor. All other proceeds and donations will be transferred to MSF for the treatment and eradication of Ebola.
