Row New York and the iconic Armory in Washington Heights, NYC are joining forces to host the first ever biathlon combining rowing and running on November 19th. The event is also a fundraiser, designed to benefit the non profit youth programs run by both Row New York and The Armory Foundation.
Row New York and The Armory Foundation’s academic and athletic youth programs instill the values of teamwork and discipline; with the goal is to see our student-athletes to and through college.
More about Row New York:
Row New York was founded in 2002, with a strong belief that the skills rowing builds–hard work, determination, delayed gratification–can be directly applied to academics, as well as life in general. In addition to serving teens, Row New York also runs adaptive programs teaching people with physical and cognitive disabilities how to row.
More about The Armory Foundation:
Founded in 1992, The Armory Foundation oversees the premier indoor track and field center in America and provides college prep and academic counseling services to hundreds of underserved New York City public school students.
