I have been running since I was 12 years old and have always dreamed of running with the Olympians. While I tried to make that dream a reality through diligent training throughout high school and into college, I realized that only a select few can ever stride with the best in the world and I didn't want to burn myself out trying to get there.
Today, my dream was revitalized in the form of a reply to a tweet of mine at Ryan Hall, Olympic marathoner for the USA team in London last year. I suggested that I would be more than willing to donate as much as I could save in order to bike support one of his runs in the town we share of Flagstaff, AZ.
His response, to my utter delight and great surprise was a positive one where he invited me to "make it happen"! This site is a culmination of a life-long dream of mine and would mean everything to make it happen.
Even better is the cause the donation will go to sustain. The Hall Steps foundation is a leading force for health and education in developing countries, mostly in eastern africa. Their efforts extend from hospitals and accessible potable drinking water to the education of the most needy in these places to "ignite change and make a difference in the lives of others."
So join me in fulfilling multiple dreams and helping fulfill the basic necessities of families around the world.
