Just keep running!

BENEFITING: CHICAGO METROPOLITAN BATTERED WOMENS NETWORK
ORGANIZER: CHICAGO METROPOLITAN BATTERED WOMENS NETWORK
I have chosen to join the Chicago Metropolitan Battered Womens Network and Team Run Domestic Violence Out of Town for the 2016 Life Time 5k race on September 25th.
This is a cause that is very important to me! Several years ago I became a survivor of domestic violence and was able to get out of the relationship and into safety with the help of an amazing local organization.
Where Donations Will Go
The Chicago Metro Battered Womens Network is comprised of 10 different domestic violence service providers around Chicago who have come together to fight to end domestic violence. I am part of a team of runners who along with me are raising both awareness and money. All donations will be used by the member agencies for domestic violence prevention and supportive services for survivors and their families.
When I left my abusive relationship, I was able to immediately receive counseling services at an agency like the ones in the Chicago Battered Womens Network. I am continuously grateful for my friends and family who opened their homes to me in times of transition. Many survivors and families depend on counseling, a safe shelter, clothing, food, basic home goods, financial aid, legal services, and employment assistance.
What We Need
My fundraising goal is $1,000 - all of which will directly impact survivors of domestic violence and their families here in Chicago through the amazing work of the organizations below.
Please share this campaign to anyone you feel might like to contribute. Join me Saturday September 25th, 2016 to support Team Run DV Out of Town!
Thank You for your time and donations!
$25 - a handwritten Thank You note
$50 - your name written on my Race day shirt as a public "Thanks!"
