After losing more than 80 pounds and radically transforming my health, I am discovering that I now have the ability to achieve things I would never have imagined possible.
When I ran the NYC marathon last year, it was my way of paying back all of the people who invested their time and talents in educating me about the joys and the benefits of proper nutrition. Not only did I surpass my own expectations by reaching my goal of completing the marathon, I raised over $40,000 for two amazing children’s charities in the process. Check out some of the incredible kids I ran for last year, who will be using the money we raised to continue their nutritional educations.
This year I’m setting my sights even higher. Instead of running, I am forming a team to help me raise $60,000 for charity - and I need your help.
I’m recruiting 10 runners to run the 2011 NYC marathon and raise $6,000 each for the 15 Foundation. These 10 runners will receive officialslots in the marathon and join me for an exclusive pre-race dinner in New York sometime. If you want one of these slots, please email firstname.lastname@example.org right away as we expect them to go fast!
Please be aware that if you already have a slot in the marathon or if you just want to help us fundraise you can click Join the Team and get started. But only the first 10 people who commit to raising $6k each will get the official slots and attend the pre-marathon dinner.
Welcome to my team!
The 15 Foundation’s main focus is access to education for children. We partner with non profit organizations nationwide to provide funding for innovative, transformational educational opportunities that prepare underserved students for success in school and beyond.
The 15 Foundation also helps bring families and children together around delicious, fresh food while positively impacting their health and well-being. We offer schools, community-based groups, and other organizations field-tested programs that teach nutrition through cooking.
