BENEFITING: American Cancer Society
EVENT DATE: May 03, 2015
We are four friends running the Pittsburgh Half Marathon in May to support the American Cancer Society, which is near and dear to all of our hearts. With family members and friends who have all been affected by cancer, the American Cancer Society is a charity we are each very passionate about supporting. We are hoping to bring awareness and support to this charity with hope that one day, a cure will be found.
All 4 runners are Physician Assistant students at Saint Francis University and have particular enthusiasm for caring for those with illnesses. We hope to one day see a significant decrease in the prevalence of cancer, which has already claimed so many precious lives.
Two of the four friends are also members of Phi Delta Kappa sorority, whose philanthropy is the American Cancer Society and Make-A-Wish. Sara and Maria participate in numerous fundraisers throughout the year with the rest of their sorority and have raised thousands of dollars towards these charities.
We are so thankful to have the opportunity to help the American Cancer Society! You can go to http://www.cancer.org/ for more information about this charity. Each donation is 100% tax deductible and should be made by Friday, May 1st.
Please help us reach our goal of $2,000!
Every dollar is appreciated and goes towards an AMAZING cause!
