BENEFITING: TESTICULAR CANCER SOCIETY
EVENT DATE: Apr 09, 2016
I ran my 1st Half-Marathon in August of 2012. 6-weeks later, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Testicular Cancer. Thanks to my commitment to my annual exam and the talent of Dr. John Perry, this was caught very early. Due to that, after surgery I was able to skip Chemo and have been in a program of, "Active Surveillance" for the past 3 yrs. 5 of the 7 CT Scans and Cancer Marker test done, and I remain Cancer Free.
Because of this incredible blessing, I vowed to "pay it forward", and have run to support, The Testicular Cancer Society. Thanks to your generosisty we were their #1 fundraiser for 2013 and 2014!!
We raised just shy of $3400 in 2013 and $3200 in 2014
Do to my relocation to Florida in 2015, I was unable to run in an event but gave in the name of our Run for a Reason campaign.
We have now donated almost $8000 to The Testicular Cancer Society in the past 3-years -- THANK YOU!
Along with your incredible generosity I have taken 19-minutes off my pre-diagnosis time breaking the 2-hour mark in 2014.
Running -- it's a BALL
Don't just live life, impact it
I will be running for a reason again Saturdaay April 9th in the Singer Island Half-Marathon. I remain humbled by any support you can provide.
