Run for Doug
Run for Doug is a 5K Run/1 Mile Walk/Run fundraising event whose goal is to increase awareness and education of stomach cancer in memory of Pastor Doug Ferguson. This is the second year for the event and this year we have connected with a wonderful organization, Can't Stomach Cancer, in hopes to have a bigger impact in the fight for a cure for stomach cancer.
The Run for Doug event is organized by Cyndi Ferguson, widow of the Rev. Doug Ferguson. Doug died June 26, 2011 of gastric cancer disease after a courageous eighth month battle. Gastric cancer is an aggressive, silent killer and early detection is the key to fighting this disease.
Your financial support will go towards active research of gastric cancer and raising local awareness in the area of early detection. Please consider being a sponsor!
