I am running this NYC Half Marathon to help raise money and awareness for the CdLS Foundation. When my son Frankie was born 19 years ago he was extremely premature and had missing fingers, missing part of an arm, and was extremely hairy. We knew he had some type of syndrome. In 1993 there was not much information on the syndrome and our family had no place to turn. The physicians gave us no hope and told us to take him home to die. Our family had turned to the CdLS Foundation and we had received excellent information and support over the years. This is a much needed service for all the professionals, families and friends affected by the syndrome and I would like to help raise money for the Foundation so that they can continue to do the amazing work they do. Please help me support their efforts. To this day Frankie is still non-ambulatory and I feel training to raise money will inspire him to someday walk.
