BENEFITING: VISION FOR TOMORROW FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Nov 03, 2013
My niece Harper Rose was born with Aniridia -a genetic condition that affects people at birth where a person is born without a fully developed iris. Aniridia is a rare condition, affecting approximately 1 in 60,000 births. With Aniridia, Harper's eyes can not filter light. It makes it very difficult for her to see and focus - but we have hope.
The Vision For Tomorrow Foundation funds research into treatments and cures for ocular complications common in people living with aniridia. Funding research is at the heart of the foundation. Research makes it possible to better understand and more effectively treat ocular complications common in aniridia. Over 90% of the funds raised by Vision For Tomorrow are directly invested in research projects!
On November 3, 2013 I will be running the New York City Marathon in her honor. I already have a spot in the marathon, so I DO NOT NEED TO RAISE any money to guarantee an entry. I am raising money on her behalf SOLELY TO DONATE TO VISION FOR TOMORROW IN HER NAME.
Any help - whether it is $10 or $100 would be greatly appreciate and all money will go directly to the charity.
Thank you very much for all of your help! Hopefully my darling niece will be able to see well enough to run a marathon herself :)
