BENEFITING: MLT CHARITABLE FOUNDATION INC
EVENT DATE: Sep 26, 2015
It is with tremendous excitement that I seek your support as I begin fundraising for the MLTfoundation in the Hampton's Half Marathon taking place on September 26.
As excited as I am to run my first half marathon, I have been especially motivated by the chance to support the MLTfoundation, an organization dedicated to empowering individuals with life-limiting conditions by funding occupational therapy services and organizing social activities.
The MLTfoundation was created in honor of Mikaela Tick, who tragically passed away on July 27, 2013 after a routine procedure to address her rare heart condition, hypertropic cardiomyopathy.
In her short 24-years, Mikaela was endlessly drawn to helping others and was studying at NYU Steinhardt to become an occupational therapist, a career dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of individuals with special needs. Mikaela's closest friends and family have worked together to continue Mikaela's life mission, by building the MLTfoundation, which has funded incredible programs like St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children Camp Helping Hands, where Mikaela had worked herself.
Although I never had the opportunity to meet Mikaela in person, I have developed such a strong connection to her over the last few years. It is with great honor that I help carry on Mikaela's legacy and accomplish my goal of running my first half marathon for Mikaela, my girlfriend Lindsey, and the MLTfoundation.
Please help support me in reaching my fundraising goal of $3,500!
Every donation helps, big or small.
