Last year you helped me raise over $4,000 for vulnerable children in Ghana.
On May 28th, 2012, I’ll be running the BolderBoulder 10K again to raise money for OrphanAid Africa and for the children and families they support.
OrphanAid Africa is a pioneer in care reform across Ghana to shift the sector from institutional care (children's homes) to family-based care, reuniting children with thier families and providing support for those families so that they can thrive together.
In 2008 I traveled to Ghana to work as a volunteer at OA and saw the good work they are doing first-hand. I have never stopped being involved with the organization as a permenent volunteer, advisory board member, and USA Manager. As a new mother, the work of OrphanAid Africa hits even closer to home. They keep children safe, healthy, and in permenent nurturing environments, a wish any mother would want for a child.
EVERY donation makes a difference. Also, if you are so inclined to share this with a friend, it can help since the more funds we can raise together, the more people that know about the mission and service of OrphanAid Africa, the more families we can help to ensure children grow up in safe, loving and stable environments.
