Here is a bit more about my cause:
Every year the LA Marathon has raised crazy amounts of money for charity with only a few thousand runners fundraising. This year they have set a challenge to get every runner involved (like 30K runners) so the LA Marathon can reach their goal of raising $4M for charity. That will double what they raised in 2010!
I am accepting their challenge (happily!) and will have a charity that is near and dear to my heart as my fundraising recipient; Pugs N Pals. Pugs ‘N Pals of Southern California is a non-profit organization, run by volunteers (like me!), dedicated to rescuing Pugs and other small dogs and giving them a second chance at life. I personally have invested hours upon hours of work over the past 4 years to support their rescue efforts and reaching out to all of you to for help so we can continue our rescue efforts of so many dogs in need.
Since their inception (12 years ago), Pugs N Pals has rescued in excess of 800 dogs, most of which require extensive veterinary care. As a result of making sure all rescue dogs are given the medical care they need and deserve, veterinary bills are very, very high and funds are very, very low.
All proceeds I fundraise over the next several months will be applied to vet bills and will allow Pugs N Pals to continue our rescue efforts.
