BENEFITING: ITS A PITTIE RESCUE
EVENT DATE: May 16, 2015
Hello! I'm Mary. Welcome to my fundraising page for It's a Pittie Rescue! Let me explain why I'm here. I come from a family of runners. However, I've always felt a little more apprehensive toward this exercise than the rest of the family. Regardless, I've had this feeling that I need to give running a true chance. I need inspiration.
My pit bull, Robin, has given me that inspiration. She has made my decision to tackle the Starved Rock Half Marathon so much easier. When we're out on the road pushing along, her happiness and enthusiasm give me the energy I need to keep moving forward and even enjoy my run.
Like many other pit bulls, Robin's story wasn't always full of happiness and enthusiasm. She was dumped near my home after having pups. She was scared and timid. Honestly, I was a little lost with how to handle the situation. Some co-workers of mine suggested It's a Pittie Rescue. They have been amazing--so encouraging and helpful.
It's a Pittie Rescue educates people, rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes this loving breed. They provide a wonderful service for these dogs and the community.
