BENEFITING: HEALING PLACE OF WAKE COUNTY
Healing Transitions (formerly known as The Healing Place of Wake County) is a non-profit whose mission is to offer innovative, peer-based, recovery-oriented services to homeless and underserved men and women with alcoholism and other drug addictions. The program is specifically designed to rekindle a person’s hope, desire, and ability to live a meaningful and productive life. As the proud husband of a recovering alcoholic, I know first-hand how important recovery programs are. Healing Transitions does not only help people improve their lives; it saves lives.
This October I will be participating in the Tuna Run 200, which is a 200-mile relay run from Raleigh to Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. The race is designed to be run by teams of 4 to 12 people. However, with the cooperation of the race director, I am going to run the entire 200 miles by myself. I will be starting out ahead of the other teams, with a goal of completing the run on Saturday, October 24th.
All of the money I raise will be donated directly to Healing Transitions. I will not use any of the donations to pay for the expenses I incur through training, preparation, or the execution of the run.
Please consider making a donation to help support this organization that does so much to help so many.
Note: All donations are subject to an additional 10% processing fee from Crowdrise. You can select to remove this fee during checkout. Waiving this fee will not reduce the amount of your donation that goes to Healing Transitions.
If you would like to send a check instead of donating online you can mail it to:

Please be sure to write Tuna Run in the memo section of your check.
