Run for Those who Roll 2014:
I'm proud to join my friend, John Nichols in running the 2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon to raise money for the Spinal Cord Injury Foundation. John suffered a traumatic injury and drowned while waterskiing, only to be revived to find that he was paralyzed due to a cervical spine injury. He made the most of a second chance and after many years of rehabilitation, reached a level of recovery that less than 1% of those in his position do. John completed the 2102 and 2013 Chicago Marathon and is back for 2014, again with the focus of helping others with similar injuries. I'm proud to join forces with John to "Run for those who Roll". Any support is appreciated.
The Spinal Cord Injury Association of Illinois is a comprehensive center for paralyzed persons, families and allied health professionals. Funds raised will help support our services, which include: Information & Referral, Peer Support, Support Groups, Injury Prevention, Educational Programs, Advocacy for Persons with Disabilities, Special Events and Beyond Boundaries.
