On June 21st, a team of 160 cancer survivors and supporters will embark on a 4,000-mile run across America. One marathon at a time, the team will cross 15 states and more than 500 communities as they work to pass their baton from the Pacific to the Atlantic. I am one of those runners.
I am running for all those who can't run because of cancer. I will be running in memory of my mom who lost her battle with cancer in 2011. I will also be running for all those who are near and dear to me who have fought cancer and won. I am running so my kids will know a world someday without cancer.
