Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States per the Centers for Disease Control. We can fight back against heart disease and stroke by making heart-healthy choices. Beginning with getting up and getting active by being physically active for at least 30 minutes on most days of the week. I am doing this by signing up for a race, which then requires a training program. Following a training program promotes the desire to stay on schedule for the upcoming race.
