BENEFITING: AINSLEYSANGELS OF AMERICA
Please help me raise money for a great organization (Ainsley's Angels) that enables individuals with disabilities to experience marathons, something I have a true passion for.
About Me: I am a seasoned runner who joined Ainsley’s Angels in 2016. My first experience as an Angel Runner was at the Louisiana Marathon in Baton Rouge this past January. Completing the marathon with Team Roy was life-changing for me. I then had the privilege to roll with Team Ari in this past Indianapolis Mini Marathon. Experiencing her joy in participating in this event truly touched me.
About Ainsley's Angels: Ainsley’s Angels is a non-profit organization that strives to promote the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in various aspects of life. The main way they do this is through endurance sports, such as running. Guardian Angels, Angel Runners, and Athlete Riders work as a team to make each event unique and memorable for everyone involved. Local Ainsley’s Angels ambassadorships raise funds to purchase adaptive equipment in order to assist Rider-Athletes in this mission. The North Central Indiana ambassadorship is the first of its kind in our state. We work tirelessly to raise awareness and to grow our membership so many deserving individuals will be able to participate in a myriad of events and experience the joy of inclusion.
About the Marine Corps Marathon Fund Raising: For the first time ever, Ainsley’s Angels in Indiana will be represented at the 42nd Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC this October. I have chosen to undertake this awesome honor, but it comes with a fundraising requirement. Each team participating in the MCM with Ainsley’s Angels has a $1775 goal to be able to participate. This covers a portion of the participation fees for myself and my Athlete-Rider and provides a new Freedom Jogger chair for our local ambassadorship so that others may Roll With the Wind! Any amount raised over the original goal is split between the MCM our local Ainsley’s Angels ambassadorship.
