This year, pancreatic cancer is expected to surpass breast cancer to become the THIRD leading cause of cancer related death in the United States and predicted to become the SECOND leading cause of death of cancer related death by 2020. This is not acceptable . Why is finding a cure for Pancreatic cancer near and dear to my heart? 12 years ago my father lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. He battled this horrific disease for two years and as I would come to Florida to visit him. (I was living in Ohio at the time.) It pained me to see him suffer. He suffered so much and to this day it breaks my heart to see anyone suffer because of this disease. To be honest, I wouldn't want anyone to suffer as he did. Last year I partnered with Project Purple, to raise money for research, patient financial aid, and scholarships by running the New York City half marathon and I raised $1000 to help beat this disease. I feel so strongly about stamping out this disease that I am partnering with Project Purple again to do my part to end pancreatic cancer. This year I will be running a half marathon (13.1 miles) in Savannah Georgia on November 5th, 2016. Would you help me in stamping out Pancreatic cancer? Please help support me and Project Purple as I try to raise $500 in our mission to beat this horrific cancer. Thank you for all of your support!
