Reed's journey with Autism began long before his diagnoses on May 21, 2015. Reed has always had obstacles to overcome. Starting out life as an infant with colic, to a toddler learning his ABCs. Reed shines so brightly every day with his infectious smile and rambunctious play! Reed is so strong and such a bright boy! We are so blessed God chose us to be his family. Reed lives at home with his Dad (Casey) Mom (Amanda) his 15 month old brother (Parker) and their family pets, Mya and Miles. Reed works so hard each day and is currently working with a Speech Therapist twice a week, an Occupational Therapist once a week, does Kindermusik once a week, and attends a school program for children diagnosed with ASD 4 times a week for 3 hours. Reed impresses us all with his will to learn and improve! Reed's most difficult challenges at this time are his food aversions, social skills and communicating his needs. As a stay at home mother I am fortunate enough to hold Reed's hand (literally and figuratively) throughout his journey into a world while living on the spectrum. He has taught me so much about life, perseverance, and love. I run for all the families affected by Autsim. I run for hope. I run for all the children, teenagers, and adults who face larger things in life than I will ever be faced with. Most of all, I run for Reed! Please help me to support the cause and raise money for Autism awareness, research, and programs!
