Running for the Prigge's - A Cancer Journey
Organized by: Laura Siefkes
October 24, 2016
EVENT DATE Nov 13, 2016
Sara Prigge is facing her colon cancer diagnosis head on. She recognizes this trial to be from the Lord, and so she calls herself a "cancer cooperator". With the support of her husband, and under the care of a medical doctor, she is trying a natural regimen, hoping it will heal her and make surgery, chemo, and radiation unnecessary. Her husband, Chad, pastors a church in the city in which they live, and she serves alongside him, overseeing the ladies' ministries and helping with the children's programs. Sara is the mother of six delightful children ranging in age from five to twenty-one, and until this year, she has homeschooled all of them to some degree. Her two oldest are in college, but the four younger ones are still at home. I knew Chad as we were growing up and have reconnected with him at different times throughout the years. Most recently while my son has been in college near the Prigge's. Since I have a passion for running, I have decided to use this gift as a way to support a great family. I will be running a half marathon on November 13, 2016. Please consider donating to help this family with the trials they will be facing over the next several months.
