Chad Beres and any other Wisconsin law enforcement officers he can get to join him will be running the 2016 Lakefront Marathon on October 2, 2016. The marathon starts in Grafton and finishes along the shores of Lake Michigan north of the Milwaukee Art Museum at Veterans Park. What's so unique about that you may ask? Well, they will all be running in full duty gear to raise awareness about law enforcement officers lost in the line of duty and to raise funds for WI C.O.P.S.
Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families and affected co-workers of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty as determined by Federal criteria. Furthermore, C.O.P.S. provides training to law enforcement agencies on survivor victimization issues and educates the public of the need to support the law enforcement profession and its survivors.
