I began running five years ago. Soon after, I began to participate in various races and this has truly been a life changing experience. It has afforded me a healthier life, both psychologically and physically, and helped me keep life events in perspective. As a result of my desire to give back to my community, I have partnered with the 92Y to raise funds for their organization. On March 20th I will be running the NYC Half Marathon. If you would like to support this organization, you can make a tax deductible (as a tax accountant I had to say that) charitable contribution. For this fund raiser to be a true partnership with my family and friends (many of whom I consider as family) I have decided to make the first contribution of $500. Thanks for reading this and if you are in NYC on March 20th come and say hello to me at the race. Here is some information about the 92Y -
"92nd Street Y Youth Sports Scholarships are awarded to children whose families cannot afford to pay for after-school sports programs. The Youth Sports program uses fun sports and fitness programs to combat a bunch of bad stuff, like teen obesity, inactivity, poor nutrition and smoking. Providing children with these opportunities not only makes them healthier, it helps kids learn confidence and discipline. Positive behaviors children develop now will carry over into adulthood, increasing their chances of becoming strong, self-sufficient and healthy adults."
I really care about kids and I really would appreciate your support.
