November of 2011 I was able to run a Boston Marathon qualifying time and have the privelege of running this 26.2 mile historic race! I wanted to make this race purposeful by raising money for an awesome organization. I have been following Blood:Water Missions for the past couple of years and I really love what they do. This is an organization aimed at ending AIDS and providing clean drinking water to the people of Africa. Blood:Water Missions is digging wells to provide clean drinking water, partnering with local organizations to provide education about AIDS prevention to communities, making people aware of their HIV status by opening screening clinics, and providing treatment and support groups for individuals that currently have HIV/AIDS. They focus on preventing the spread of AIDS as well as helping those who struggle with the disease.
It would be amazing if you could donate an amount per mile of the race I will be running on April 15th (i.e. $1.00/mi for a total of $26, $0.50/mile for a total of $13, etc.) I would love if you would partner with me to raise support for this awesome organization!
