BENEFITING: FOUNDATION FOR RETINAL RESEARCH
Ten years ago, my amazing nephew Andrew was born. Shortly after his arrival it was discovered that he was blind. Andrew was diagnosed with Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis (LCA), an extremely rare hereditary disorder. Since then, Andrew has been a light for our family, inspiring us all to take a second look at how we perceive our lives. He's a constant beacon of positivity and a source of happiness. This summer I will be running as much as I can, including personal workouts and as many road races as possible. My goal is to run the total miles it would take to get from my doorstep to his, about 1,266 miles. If you are willing, you can donate in a lump sum, or if you'd like to encourage my running effort, you can donate per mile. I will be updating my mileage weekly. I will start this journey on 5/1/14 with an end date of 10/1/14. For more information about LCA, please visit TFRR.ORG.
