In November 2012 my dad was diagnosed with stage IV Colon Cancer. It was during that time I decided I would run the Celebrate Life half marathon for him. I thought if I showed him that I could run 13.1 miles he could push through chemo just as strong. Unfortunately, my dad lost his battle in February 2013. I have run this race the last two years and raised over $5,000 dollars, I hope to continue to celebrate life every year in his memory. The donations received help local cancer patients pay for costs associated with treatment. To honor my father, I will run this race and do my part to help others battling cancer. My family and I would appreciate any contributions in memory of my father, Antonio Vanzo.
