THE STORY:

Greetings! I am Lucy Eaton, and I will be running in the NYC Marathon on November 2, 2014, as a member of the Huntington & Smithtown Fit Body Boot Camp team.

As a team, we are raising money for the organization Autism Speaks.

Each member of the team has a goal of raising $3,000, and I am asking for your assistance in raising money for this dedicated organization, which support the families of children with autism spectrum disorder.

For example:
The average cost of preparing and shipping a 100 Days Kit to a newly diagnosed family is $25.
My fundraising will help 64 newly diagnosed families receive a much needed guide as to what they should be doing within the first 100 days of diagnosis.
Early intervention and treatments have been proven to make difference in the lives of those on the spectrum.

Additionally, thanks to generous donations from supporters like you, Autism Speaks has been able to fund a grant at Kansas University called “Autism Swims,” where children with autism are taught specific skills that will allow them to swim, which is something that has been unattainable for many people with autism spectrum disorder.
